Some of the buildings in Dobrina village.
The village houses and farm buildings are mostly made of stone, sourced gradually from the ruins of the nearby Ovetch Fortress over several centuries. Many of the houses have fallen into disrepair, some have been renovated by British newcomers, others are occupied only during the summer by Bulgarian extended families who now live in towns, but most are still the homes of people who pursue a life of tilling the land and keeping livestock.
